John & Kate Plus 8 on TLC

I feel so bad for my friends without cable who do not watch this show. I really enjoy watching it because it makes me feel so much better about life with one toddler, as opposed to eight of them. If you don't watch the show, the parents (Jon & Kate, obviously) had twins and then tried for one more and ended up with sextuplets. Their household is insane.

I am going to refrain from saying anything controversial or judgmental and just state that I like watching the show and I am entertained by it. Many people think that Kate is controlling, but I think I would be a crazy mommy if I had 8 kids, and I also like a clean organized house like she does. She steps on her husband at times but he definitely lets her do it. Also, I think it's important to note that Jon and Kate always appear grateful for the opportunities they are given, like taking special outings or vacations, by the network (TLC).

So I was really surprised to read a blog allegedly written by Jodi's sister. Jodi was one of the friends who helped them out when the kids were younger, but I think she has been absent from the episodes lately. So if you are at all interested in the show, check out this bitchy blog where the writer rips Kate a new one. Not sure whose side to believe, but it is not pretty.

OMG, I love this show!! I DVR it obsessively.

Jodi is Kate's brother's wife...and I'm stuck on this blog now and I'm going to have to spend the next 3 hours reading it.

And I was going to go to bed.

Glad you enjoyed the link - and thanks for the info! That's crazy that it really is a family member (I wasn't sure if it was friend or family) bashing Kate. I am always happy to provide useless, time-wasting reading material. :)

Ahh, too bad the 'television without pity' forums closed the J&K+8 thread..I loooved reading that cause it was so snarky and also had a lot more info than shown on the show. Specifically links to past interviews where Jon cries over basically *everything, Kate says she would NEVER have had 6 if she could go back and do it again, and the fact that almost every weekend out of the year J&K are gone doing 'church talks' that have a minimum 'love offering' ($$$) to book them.

All that being said, I totally watch for the kids. I think in general the show jumped the shark LONG ago, but the kids are still a joy to watch.

Did someone just say snarky?

The best part about this blog is it is the only pink blog that I read. Well, and the author is amazingly cool, too.

4:24 a.m.? You are reading a pink blog and writing about 'fantasy' baseball at 4:24 in the morning?
