Dinner: Not just any old pizza

I didn't write about meals much on my old blog, but they have just been so darn good lately, thank you very much. Tonight I made a kick-ass pizza with tomatoes and basil and green pepper fresh from our garden. Look how gorgeous this pizza is!

The right side was by far the best part of the pizza. I brushed the crust with olive oil then did a thick layer of tomatoes instead of sauce. Topped it with carmelized onions, feta and spinich (I know fresh would have been better but we are definitely not up to growing spinich yet).

Holding the fresh tomatoes between her fingers like they were diseased, AJ said, "I no like these. You eat, Daddy." While this was not an unexpected gesture it was thrilling to us just because it was a great sentence! Hopefully this kid will learn to like a vegetable or two in her lifetime. I'm making it my mission.
