Today "lukeclairemommy" and I took our kids to Lincoln Square Mall. AJ got her pink and blue bike from Santa and so we all met there with our riding toys.
AJ has been doing a little better on the bike, but once she saw her friend riding, it just clicked. She took off and was doing a great job of pedaling (if not steering). We were in the large open space riding around when the janitor came over to us. The badge on his shirt read "Custodian/Security." Riiiight. He told us they don't usually allow bikes but he would let it slide since it's cold out. However we are not allowed to bring them back.
Granted the mall was a little busier today than it was when we went a few evenings ago (like, this time there were actually people there. Although they were all senior citizens and Health Alliance employees on their 15-minute walk breaks). But seriously...your mall has like three stores and two eateries that people actually go to. I usually take it easy on this mall, but I'm pretty annoyed about this. If it was busy like Marketplace or had more than two stores like Marketplace, I would never dream of taking my kid's bike there. But a handful of seniors and Carle employees are not going to care that my two and a half-year old is toddling around on her bike.
So today, Lincoln Square Mall gets a big WHATEVER.

Awww, that is disappointing. I used to take JB with his tricycle and WW in her push along buggy all the time to Lincoln Square.
I agree, Whatever!
Are you kidding? W/o us and L's loud trike I would totally take AJ back there w/her bike! The worst they can do is ask you to stop, again :)
