At a reader's suggestion, I made ratatouille with all of my home-grown/farmer produce, including a funky-shaped yellow squash. At first I was going to use this gorgeous baked recipe I found online but I ended up just using the simmering recipe from the good old Joy of Cooking.
I was whiny and in a bad mood as I cooked it, thinking none of us would like it. But it turned out great! We had "Ratatouille Provencal" with chicken, couscous and a bit of sour cream. So thank you Carla for the suggestion!
