Boon

AJ was so excited for her grandparents to come visit. Honestly, she talked about it for a few days and toddlers don't usually remember much on a day-to-day basis. She hasn't seen them in months and she was thrilled.

So it was unfortunate that a hot air balloon went right over our house about two minutes before grandpa and grandma pulled into the driveway. The balloon itself was colorful and exciting and extremely close to us. We could hear its occupants yelling hello to us. As grandma and grandpa drove down the street, AJ shouted repeatedly at them: "BOON! BOON! BOON! BOON!" The shouting continued as they got out of the car and greeted her with hugs.

She got over it within a few minutes of their arrival, but it really wasn't the kind of loving welcome they were expecting. Here's the balloon right over our heads (you can see the inside of it!) as well as a creative shot taken when APY excitedly yanked the camera out of my hand as I was taking the picture.
