I'm pleased to report that we are all doing better here today. AJ and I both had a good time at the gym this morning and APY has been moving about the house all day. He is clearly not better yet, but it is great to see little peeks of his old self here and there. It's only been two days but boy did I miss him. AJ has wanted to "snuggle" with her daddy a lot today.
The interesting thing is that APY has really gotten slammed with the cold AJ and I had last week (and we both are still on the tail end of it). He is taking prednisone which makes it difficult to fight off infections. But it's so odd how the timing of everything happened...it seems like his body was so busy trying to fight the cold and the withdrawel that it said "To hell with it, let's screw this and go into migraine mode." And now that the migraine is on its way out, it's time for the cold.
Science can do so much. Clone people, fly monkeys to Mars, allow astronauts to drink their own urine in space. (For reals!). When is someone going to figure out how to cure the common cold? And shouldn't there be some sort of reward money for this? I would definitely contribute to that cause.
